14 years ago this morning was the start of Cops & Doughnuts. It was uncertain how the concept would work out. Well we now have 14 full years as Cops & Doughnuts and the Clare City Bakery has remained open for 127 continuous years. We have had millions of people come though our doors and have sold millions of doughnuts. We have expanded to Ga***rd, Bay City, Mt Pleasant and several sub-stations. 🥳We are excited to announce the Friday night music for Alpenfest 2023! The Family Tradition Band will be at the Alpenfest Main Stage on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 8PM - 10PM.
FTB is a modern take on an old timeless classic sound which includes many traditional country elements such as fiddle, banjo and pedal steel guitar. This combined with spot-on vocal harmonies, dual electric guitars and a rock solid rhythm section, is what creates the authenticity of the band.

Today was a great adventure! We “flew” up, up, and away to Mackinaw City! It’s the first time I’ve ever been there. First obligatory stop was at Cops & Doughnuts - Jay's Precinct - Ga***rd. Every cop, active and retired, needs their mid afternoon donut.
Then we stopped at Wienerlicious in Mackinaw City. I was a bit sad that they were closed.
Then we spent a long time just watching the bridge, a freighter going under it, all the people walking, and other dogs. It was a nice relaxing time. A couple nice ladies from Traverse City stopped to say how handsome I was and that they liked my cape. We told them it was because Dad said I was Superman. When I worked, I always had a Superman key tag on my collar. They also said they really liked my ear 😊
We ended the evening by staying overnight. We’ll head back home sometime tomorrow. I have to say, I like this overnight stay at a hotel a lot better than the one in June! That’s when I had to have my back surgery. This one is much better!
