After almost fourteen years of proudly serving Gate City and the surrounding areas, it is with saddened hearts that The Family Bakery has decided to close. We are so heartbroken to bring this news to you as we have gained so many wonderful relationships that we will always cherish and hold dear to our hearts!
As many of you may know, Cotton experienced an emergency surgery last month that put things into perspective and brought us to the realization that after 45 years of marriage, we are choosing to take time for ourselves to rest.
The bakery has been a place of love, laughter, tears, prayers prayed, prayers answered, community outreach, and a home for people to come together. We have prayed about what the Lord would have us do and he is showing us the way.
With that said, we have taken time to make this difficult decision and are in current conversations with three bakeries that will hopefully be utilizing the space with their own specialties. This space will not remain vacant as these walls have held too many special memories to not continue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your loyalty, trust, and love.
All gift certificates will be refunded or honored by the new bakery.
