Happy First Birthday to us!!
Please read!
One year ago today I bought a logo and took a shot at this home bakery thing! I can’t say THANK YOU enough to each and every one of you who have supported me over the last year. I especially want to thank those who have stuck with me since the beginning through weird and questionable packaging, imperfect cakes and cookies, and not-so-plump cinnamon rolls from time to time. The people who still continue to buy from me even after witnessing some mishaps are the real MVPs. Thankfully over the last year, I’ve been able to nail down what works and what doesn’t, things I’m great at, and other things not so much. But it’s given me a growth opportunity to really focus on the recipes I’ve perfected. So THANK YOU for the last 365 imperfectly perfect days of baking bliss!
Here’s a few things I want to remind you of, especially if you’re new here!
1. This is not my full time job. I work an 8-5 job M-F, along with being a wife and a mama. This means my baking is done on nights and weekends, which doesn’t allow me to fully operate like a “normal” bakery at this time. But I hope to get closer to that goal in the future!
2. My preference is that all orders be picked up at my house, especially with the busyness of the holiday season quickly approaching. I know this isn’t always possible, so I can be flexible if needed.
3. My main priority is still what it was on this day one year ago — to provide you with homemade classic southern desserts inspired by recipes from my granny, mamaw, and mother-in-law. Because of this, I don’t do fancy, but I guarantee you, your taste buds won’t be disappointed.
