Happy birthday to us - it’s 1 year since we opened our doors in Garrison! We’re a bit astonished by how much and how fast this bakery has grown in the past year, how many new things we’ve added to our lineup, how many amazing humans have joined us to prep and mix and bake and clean and sell, and how many of YOU have showed up to keep this whole thing thriving. Thank you 🧡
It’s been a good year, and honestly, a hard year too. This kind of growth comes with a whole wild and woolly zoo of new challenges and a steep learning curve on many of them. If we’ve learned anything after 8 years in business, we know the challenges will never stop, but keeping true to what got us started will carry us through. Mainly, making nourishing, delicious breads and treats out of the best local grains and ingredients we can get our hands on, donating and participating in our community as best we can, and creating a workplace that’s focused on kindness, learning, and silliness. There’s lots more to do (always more to do in a bakery!) but we’re taking a moment today to reflect and celebrate.
So for our birthday, the hot coffee’s on us all day, and we’ll have free toasts with jam and toasts with parm in the morning till we run out. Come toast with us!
Thank you again for supporting us, and in turn, the small, regional producers who make all the good ingredients that make our stuff taste so good!
