Good morning, Bears! 🐻 Here are a few updates for everyone to start the week.

1️⃣ We want to thank everyone that volunteered and helped work the first weekend of Lil’ Ballers this past Saturday. It is much appreciated! We have raised enough money so far this year to cover the purchase of 2 new adjustable goals for our league!

2️⃣ We will be hosting 5th/6th volleyball this coming Saturday at the high school and Lil’ Ballers the following 3 Saturdays. Anyone that would like to help even for just a little while is welcome!

3️⃣ There is a Booster Club meeting coming up THIS Wednesday, October 8th, at 6:30pm in the HS Cafeteria. They will be re-electing a new board and discussing the future of Booster Club, GSO, and Little League. Any age parents or community members are encouraged to attend and get involved!

4️⃣ Blue & White night is coming up soon! We hope to make it bigger and better than last year! New apparel is being designed and will be available for purchase/order that evening.

Make sure to get out and support your Bears of all ages this week!

Side note: We are getting ready to start Lil' Ballers, (starts this Saturday Oct. 4th), and we are always in need of volunteers to help with score, reffing, or gate. Even if it is just for a small amount of time! Please contact us if you are willing to help!

3rd-4th grade volleyball refs, scorekeepers, and admission gate workers.

If we can’t get help with home events, we will not host home events and the cost for our students to participate will increase. These events are how we fund the programs.

There are two of us currently doing this and enlisting family members to help. Please help where you can!

We are excited to invite 3rd-6th Grade students to join the Galena Elementary Run Club.

Practices will be held at Galena Elementary directly after school until 4:30 PM on the following dates:
Wednesday, September 3
Wednesday, September 10
Wednesday, September 24

Parents please communicate accordingly with the office and homeroom teacher on practice days.

What to bring: Running shoes, appropriate clothing and a water bottle

Why Join? Cross country is a great way to learn proper running form, build fitness, and most importantly—have fun!

Meets: Meets will occur on Wednesdays afternoons in September and October. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the meets.
The races will be 1 mile in distance.

Good morning & happy 2nd week of school!

Here is the first 3 weeks of our fall volleyball schedule! This is being sent out to coaches & parents as well.

‼️- We will be posting a volunteer sign-up form within the next day and we NEED help!! In order to keep costs down for our athletes to participate and to be able to host as many games as possible, we need help in a variety of areas. If we can't get help, we can't host games. 😕

📅- Tonight is the baseball jamboree at home, (Bears play at 4:30 & 6:00), as well as the volleyball jamboree at NCA starting at 6:00. Go support your HS teams as they begin their fall seasons!

Game dates for the league are Saturdays Oct. 4-Nov. 1 starting at 8am and usually ending earlier afternoon.

This is a beginner's basketball league for students in Preschool-2nd grade.

This sheet has both individual AND team registration portions, so PLEASE make sure you fill out only the portion that pertains to you.

Fall sports are upon us!!

We will be posting sign-ups throughout the week on here and on parent square, so keep your eyes open.

This one is for youth volleyball (3rd-6th graders). We will be apart of the Tri-Lakes league again this season. Games are mostly on Saturdays with two Thursday evenings sprinkled in there.

We will get practice schedules out to you hopefully by the end of the week.
