The End of an Era⠀
I’ve been working in the pastry/cake industry for 18 years. It seems strange to write this. ⠀
It began back in 2007 when I moved to Maryland and has become a huge part of who I am.⠀
There have been a lot of sleepless nights, endless messes in the kitchen, & trial and error. The tears when something went wrong and the joy when a cake turned out just right.⠀
People started trusting me with their celebrations. Birthdays, weddings, baby showers, “just because” cakes... each one filled with love, laughter, and a little piece of my heart.⠀
l’ve decided it’s time to step away from the business. An opportunity came my way — and I don’t want to say no to it. Will it work? I don’t know. Will it be what I truly want? Maybe, maybe not.⠀
But I do know that it’s time for me to try, to grow, and to give myself the chance to explore the things I’ve been putting off.⠀
So, with a heart that’s both heavy and hopeful, I’m saying goodbye to this chapter.⠀
I’ll be finishing all of my current orders, but after that, l’ll no longer be taking new ones. ⠀
I can’t begin to express my gratitude to every single one of you who ordered, supported, shared, or simply believed in me. You’ve all been part of my story, part of my dream, and part of who l’ve become.⠀
Thank you for trusting me with your most special moments - your joy became my joy, and your celebrations became mine too.⠀
This isn’t “goodbye forever.”⠀
But for now, this is where my cake journey pauses.⠀
From the bottom of my heart - thank you.⠀
⠀
*I may be accepting some orders during the summer months. If so, I will make a post with my availability*
