We believe that our food should have an ingredient list that is short and recognizable. We also believe in the ability to stand behind these ingredients. Dean has been cooking for over 15 years in Gainesville and has honed his skills enough to be able put that belief to practice. Now we want to share that belief with the people in our community. Our bread and pasta are made from freshly milled flo
ur with no genetically modified ingredients. The bread is made with a natural leaven which has been cared for over a long period of time. It's also healthier. The only ingredients in our bread are flour, filtered water and Himalayan salt. Our pasta is made from organic durum flour which gives it the best possible quality. We hand roll our pasta. We are bringing this product to Gainesville with the most care, the finest ingredients and the best practices possible. It's what we crave and it's what you deserve. Enjoy!

Vine is 10!
May is a big month for Vine. Our sourdough starter just had its 10th birthday and we also opened our doors on Main Street 8 years ago.
We’re celebrating these anniversaries the week of May 18 - 22 by donating 10% of our sales for the week to two local non profit organizations. The Repurpose Project is raising money to open a second location and The Cultural Arts Coalition has a new science bus that will provide education to students in East Gainesville.
We also have new t-shirts that will be available for sale starting next week. Thanks so much to Casey at Aesthetic Print for the awesome designs and for printing the shirts in time for our celebration. We also plan to have special sourdough breads, cakes, pies, tarts and pizzas in addition to our regular offerings throughout the week to get you excited about coming in. And to cap off the week we’re hosting a pizza night with live music by Madwoman from 6 - 8 PM Friday May 21st!

The Gainesville city commission voted on May 6th to end our pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) system of cart size for landfill trash. This is a big deal. Gainesville has had this system since 1994 and it is a proven technique to reduce the amount of landfill trash and increase the diversion of recoverable materials, i.e. recyclables. We need PAYT to reach our Zero Waste and Sustainability goals. Please use the letter on Zero Waste Gainesville's advocacy page and email the city commissioner - let them know that you support and want to keep PAYT. It's not too late to let them know you want to keep this system.
