Took the last couple weeks a little slower so that I can embrace the main reason I do what I do…to be present for my children while still getting to express my love and creativity through baking 💕
One of the biggest catalyst for teaching myself to decorate cakes was to make my kids birthday cakes. Now I have the joy of making other families special cakes & cookies…and that has always been my goal 🫶🏼
When I first started selling cakes and other items I got caught up in the “wow they asked ME, I have to make this cake for them” to the point where I was working all day, coming home and baking until 3am, and giving the rest of my life scraps. After about a year of that my eyes opened and I saw that nothing is worth taking time away from the people that make life worth living.
I am so thankful for those of you that schedule your orders with me again and again, are understanding when I tell you my schedule that week is already full, and just for trusting me with your special days 💕
