*UPDATE: BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED*

As a precautionary measure on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, a Boil Water Notice was issued for all Fulton City Municipal Water customers on the West side of town beginning at the railroad tracks moving westward once water service is restored. This boil water notice excludes Walmart, Dollar Tree, El Vallarta, and businesses on Holiday Lane. This notice was issued as a precautionary measure due to emergency maintenance on the water main line. We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and community. We are also grateful for the dedicated and knowledgeable employees that are working to repair the issue and ensure a safe and reliable source of water. This Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until further notice. Please follow the City of Fulton’s website at www.fulton-ky.com for updates. Water outage for a portion of customers on the West Side of Town due to emergency water main repair.

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, damage to a water main was reported near Fulton High School that is affecting Fulton City Municipal Water customers on the West side of town. The Fulton Public Works department is currently working diligently to repair the water main and restore services. The length of the outage is unknown currently. We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and community. We are also grateful for the dedicated and knowledgeable employees that are working to repair the issue and ensure a safe and reliable source of water. The Department of Public Works will begin repairs on a water leak on Main Street (in front of Buttercups) on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Work Scope

Locating: Pinpointing the leak location using acoustic listening devices.

Excavation: Cutting and removing street pavement to access the line.

Repair & Restoration: Repairing the main, backfilling, and compacting the road base prior to resurfacing.

Traffic & Access Impact: This project will require temporary lane and road closures affecting portions of Main Street, Mulberry Street, and Nelson Tripp Place. Closure durations will depend on the extent of the repair once excavated.

DPW is completing pre-planning and site preparation to minimize disruption to local businesses and residents.

*Tires will be accepted on and off the rim, including farm implement, bicycle, motorcycle, go-cart, ATV, Tractor, Truck and Passenger

Tire Retailers, Scrap/Salvage Yards and Recycle Businesses are Expressly Prohibited from Participating
Fulton County, in Partnership with the KY Division of Waste Management is sponsoring this event. Please take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of any unwanted tires. Any Kentucky Resident is eligible to participate in this program, with the exception of tire retailers, scrap/salvage yards or recycle facilities.
