Why do I bake?
Hello world, I love baking. I served in the Navy 20 years. Baking casually when my schedule allowed. But when I retired and followed my then Active Duty Husband Jacob to Canada, I truly connected with baking in a new way.
I learned about flour, milling flour, farming wheat, how to make and maintain sourdough, and I was in love with the art and with real bread.
I want to make the best possible bread to fuel my family and yours. I want you to know how important this is to me. Its a system that starts from our local farmers, millers, and bakers. You can buy bread from the supermarket and put more money in the big corporationsor you can support your neighbors and be healthier for it.
My labels will have shorter lists of ingredients with intention.
