Hey all! Michael here.
My band’s first EP was released today. Check it out! Foyer The Band

Today, the first collection of our musical explorations together is available to the public.

We wrote it, recorded it live, mixed it, mastered it, designed it, assembled it, and carried it across the finish line ourselves. Every song, sound, and scrap of paper was shaped by hand, with equal measures of intention, persistence, and care.

It has been a genuine labor of love, and we’re deeply proud of the strange little structure we built together.

We delivered our first commissioned memorial floral preservation pieces this morning.

These were created from flowers saved from a grandmother’s funeral, carefully pressed, arranged, and framed so they can continue telling a story long after the blooms themselves have faded.

There were enough flowers left over that I was able to surprise the family with a third piece (the lily) as a gift.

I’m grateful they trusted Bone Grubbers Hearth & Home with something so personal, and I’m thankful to know these flowers will continue to be part of their family’s story for years to come.

Also just throwing it out there… if anyone has Mullen growing in their yard, side yard, etc and you don’t want it. Please let me know. I’ll come harvest it. My Mullen crop didn’t do much this season. It a main ingredient for my winter and spring congestion tea.

This is what it looks like at different stages. If you have an iPhone take a picture then hit info and should be able to identify it if you’re unsure. Android phones- I have no idea lol

Prep for the Freedom Floats Festival has begun. I picked up my costume on Friday after school (thanks, Lee!). I have half the bread proofing in the fridge, cookie doughs resting in the fridge, and bread dips made (5 flavors). I will pick up the canopy and table on Thursday (thanks Lynn and thanks Scott!), load everything but the food on Friday evening, and on Saturday, we will head to Eastham Park to set up. Come visit us at the freedom flows festival!

Can we talk about a full day of amazing activities?
First up—parking at Eastham Park can be a challenge, but our partners at Shenandoah Shuttles have you covered. Park at Skyline High School and we’ll shuttle you straight to the festival.

Now let’s talk about what’s waiting for you…
We’ve got a BB station with Scouting of America, axe throwing with Shenandoah Valley Axe Throwing, and a kids activity with Downriver Canoe Company.

There’s a photo booth and face painting with State Farm, hands-on activities with Samuels Public Library, and a Gundalow building activity with Shenandoah River State Park.

You’ll see chainsaw carving from Mason Dixon Boys, butter making, seed paper making, and a co****le tournament with Parks & Rec.

And that’s before you even get to the food, games, live music, and yes—the duck race.

Yeah… it’s that kind of day.
