Our Glazed Croix just won Best Croissant in the Dallas Observer Best of Dallas awards!

I had no idea we were even on the radar for this. Then I found out that you all had been paying attention… and voted for us.

Moments like this put everything into perspective. Especially when you’re taking things one day at a time and struggling to keep sight of the bigger picture. Knowing that what we do means something to this community is the whole reason I started this in the first place.

I’m grateful for all of you, and for the strong team we’re building at Croix. I have a feeling that we are moving in the right direction.

Thank you for letting us bring a loaf of sourdough and a fresh pastry to your table, day after day.

Fun little history moment: croissants actually trace their roots back to the Austrian kipferl, but once they made their way to France, bakers transformed them into the buttery, flaky, laminated pastry we know and love today.

Butter, flour, lots of layers, lots of patience, and a really good bake. This is our Traditional Croissant.

Tomorrow on the bread rack you’ll find Chocolate Cherry Sourdough (as requested by many of you), Jalapeño & Cheddar Sourdough, Multigrain Sourdough and our classic Country Sourdough. As well as focaccia slabs and sourdough baguettes!

Also! What’s new on the menu:
🍓 Strawberries and Cream Croix (jam, whipped cream and fresh strawberries)
🍫 Chocolate Knots (with an Earl Grey and Bergamot chocolate ganache filling)
🥯 The Everything Croix (savory traditional croissant filled with a green onion cream cheese filling)
