Chances are if you grew up in Dallas you probably saw #freedsfurniture commercials with the gorgeous Debbie. Earlier this year her life was cut short due to #stupidcancer. I was lucky enough to know her and her family well. When I was asked to make these cookies I knew I could not disappoint. She was always dressed fabulously from head to toe, and she particularly loved shoes. Today her friends and family are dedicating something special in her name, and these cookies will be there. While I was making these I thought about spending the night at their house, her teaching me how to braid….and so much more. Her spirit, smile, and beauty inside and out will continue to live on.
