Dear Friends of Bliss,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and to let you know that Bliss Baking Co. of California will be closing its doors as of March 31, 2023. We will keep this page open to share recipes and recommendations. Down the road we may consider going another direction, but for now we feel God is calling us to other ventures.
You have made this business feel like family. We appreciate each and every one of you. Whether you have been a long-time faithful customer, have only purchased once or twice, or have just "liked" this page and followed along on our journey, we are thankful for your support.
We feel blessed to have served you, made treats to meet your dietary needs, and to call many of you friends. Thank you for playing along with "name that kitchen appliance," for sharing posts, and for your comments on the photos we have shared.
We had our first table at the Kaiser Farmer's Market in April 2014, we left Kaiser at the end of 2018. In 2019 we had two Candy's Cafes and had hoped to have more, but Covid changed many of our hopes. We continued to bake through the pandemic, with many porch pick-ups and enjoyed seeing customers in person once things opened up again.
Over the past 9 years we have made over 80 different recipes. Top favorites were: Cherry Almond scones, Lemon Blueberry muffins, Nutty Bliss Cereal (aka "crack"), Chocolate Monkey muffins, Zucchini Walnut bread, Bliss Cinnamon rolls, Banana bread, Chocolate Chip cookies, and Chocolate Bliss cupcakes.
We have always seen Bliss as a ministry. When we were at Kaiser, in addition to free samples, God gave us the opportunity to offer hugs, smiles, and a listening ear. It has been a privilege to have the chance to combine two of the things we love-people and baking! Thank you!
