🖤💛 A little something sweet for a REALLY good cause! 💛🖤
Okay, you guys… I’ve been working on a little project behind the scenes, and I’m SO excited to finally share it with you!
Introducing Black, Gold & Sweet Stickers! 🖤💛
Yep. Bezzie’s has stickers now! 😂 And they’re ridiculously cute, if I do say so myself. We’ve got funny ones, seasonal ones, some for the kiddos, and a few that might hit a little too close to home for my fellow caffeine addicts. ☕🤣
But here’s the best part…
These aren’t just stickers. They’re a fundraiser for the kids at University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital! ❤️
If you’ve been around here long enough, you probably know I’m a pretty die-hard Iowa Hawkeye fan. (And if you somehow missed that… I’m not sure how. 😂💛🖤)
But my connection to Iowa goes a little deeper than football.
I’m a proud University of Iowa alum, and during my college years, I worked in the university’s research labs. Iowa has always held a special place in my heart, and the work being done at Stead Family Children’s Hospital is something I have so much admiration for.
You may have seen videos of the Hawkeye Wave during Iowa football games. At the end of the first quarter, more than 70,000 fans turn toward the children’s hospital overlooking Kinnick Stadium and wave to the kids, families, and staff watching from the windows.
And let me tell you, it doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it. 🥹💛
For a few moments, an entire stadium comes together for something so much bigger than football.
Those kids are facing battles that no child should ever have to face. And behind those hospital windows are families, doctors, nurses, researchers, and countless others doing everything they can to give those kids the best possible care.
The hospital makes an incredible difference in the lives of children and families, and I wanted to find a small way for Bezzie’s to be part of that.
So I reached out to the hospital’s fundraising team, shared my idea, and got the green light to make it happen! 🙌
Here’s how it works!
✨ Stickers are available right out by the coolers!
✨ Each sticker is a $2 donation.
✨ You can pay using the same payment methods you already use for your bakery treats.
✨ 100% of every sticker donation goes directly toward supporting Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Bezzie’s is covering the cost of the stickers so the full $2 can go toward the fundraiser!
And because I know how you people operate, yes, you can absolutely grab a sticker without buying dessert. Although I can’t promise the coolers won’t tempt you while you’re here. 🤣
We’ll have different designs available, including some seasonal ones, so keep an eye on the display!
I know $2 might not seem like a lot, but that’s kind of the point. A whole bunch of little contributions can add up to something pretty wonderful. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned from running this little bakery, it’s that this community knows how to show up. ❤️
