My Story
A one-woman operation since 2000. Former interior designer turned foodie. VDACS inspected kitchen. Joined the Charlottesville City Market in 2000. "Best Key Lime Pie on the Planet" named by customers since 2005. Treat yourself to a slice at Citizen Burger Bar on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall, across from the Paramount Theater. CBB has sold my pie since they opened in 2012. Becoming very popular as "brides choice" since 2014.
Purchase a copy of Diane’s first collection of recipes Honoring Food, a memoir beginning mid-May 2018. Limited edition. Book signing held weekly at my booth at the Charlottesville City Market. 120 recipes inspire and my food philosophy encourage readers to make sustainable food choices. Recipes are straightforward, “lyrical”, and all are delicious. Many City Market favorites are included too. A great gift for friends, budding cooks, and bakers.
Additional seasonal products/produce are found weekly at my booth at the Charlottesville City Market April through September...look for the Key Lime Pie banner above my red tent. Specialty baked goods: buttermilk biscuits, scones, cornbread, seasonal pestos, Wow-zer! Catnip, Geeze Louise! Pimento Cheese (part of Edible Blue Ridge April 2018 Bucket List...a must have local item), fresh heirloom daffodils and peonies in the spring (organic growing methods), no-spray blueberries, specialty greeting cards (my photos), and much more. All produced/grown by moi!
