Apparently I need to stop trying to fight gnats with my bare hands. ๐Ÿ™„

In a completely unnecessary battle with one of those tiny household menaces, I managed to miss the gnat, hit the wall, and tear a ligament in my left middle finger. ๐‘ฉ๐’†๐’„๐’‚๐’–๐’”๐’† ๐’‚๐’‘๐’‘๐’‚๐’“๐’†๐’๐’•๐’๐’š ๐’•๐’‰๐’‚๐’•'๐’” ๐’‚ ๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’•๐’‰๐’‚๐’• ๐’„๐’‚๐’ ๐’‰๐’‚๐’‘๐’‘๐’†๐’.

I hate having to do this, especially after such an exciting start to our fall menu, but I need to let this thing heal instead of turning a bad week into a much longer problem.

Sunny is one of the regular visitors around The Giving Treat. I started calling her Sunny because her gorgeous orange coat is honestly breathtaking when the sunlight hits it.

She wanders through, usually stops for some water, and then heads back into the woods.

Sheโ€™s also the reason I learned that foxes will eat sunflower seeds. ๐Ÿคฃ I caught her helping herself underneath my bird feeders, and after realizing she was starting to hang around a little too much, I put the ground feeders away. As much as I love seeing her, I donโ€™t intentionally feed her or want her learning that hanging around people means an easy meal.

Now, if she happens to find something the crows left behindโ€ฆ thatโ€™s between Sunny and the crows. ๐Ÿ˜‚

With so much development happening around us, I often wonder how much animals like Sunny are having to adjust as the places they call home change around them. It makes me a little sad to think about.

But sheโ€™s welcome to pass through here anytime. So are the deer, birds, squirrels, rabbits, opossums, and all the other little creatures that decide to visit.
