Last week I had a new client come in with dip on her natural nails! If you look closely at the cuticles, you can see the difference in application from a dip overlay compared to hard gel overlay.
One of my favorite things about working with hard gel is, the application does not need to be thick in order to be strong! Thin does not mean weak either.
She expressed how unhappy she was with her previous shape and wanted to be rounded out into more oval. The goal is to grow her natural nails out and continue to taper them in. With longer lengths, we are able to create more of an almond look. While she is short, oval is best, we don’t want to over file her natural nail.
