Happy to announce the amount of followers who do not know me has officially surpassed the ones who do 🥳

So let me properly introduce myself. My name is Josie! I started my home bakery, Josie's Oven, this year to help support my family.

My scratch baking journey started when I was just a freshman in high school (shoutout Mrs. Carter) but I didnt take it seriously til about 4 years ago when I baked something for my daughter's birthday that wasnt filled with artifical additives and chemicals.

Raised in Norfolk, my Fiancé and I decided to take our daughter away from the city life and slow it down a bit in beautiful rural Courtland & I couldnt be happier that we did 👨‍👩‍👧🌌

A true 90s baby, I remember the sound of dial up, house phones working regardless of power, saturday morning cartoons, sleepovers with no cell phones, prank calling random numbers from the phone book & toilet papering the neighbors houses 🤣

I am a lover of all things nature, especially trees, flowers, birds, frogs, butterflies and bees
🌳🌻🌷🐦🐸🦋🐝

I tend to laugh at things that arent funny (sorry babe 😅).

I believe pitbulls to be the best dogs.

Reading is my favorite hobby. 📖

My current favorite past time show to put on while baking and doing dishes is Gilmore Girls (where my Gilmore Girls girlies at) ☕️ ❄️

Im a mom, a wife, a teacher, a lover, a fighter, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a best friend, a NERD, a baker.. & at the end of most days Im proud to be me.

Someone asked what I do with the cakes that don't sell at markets...

I take them home and use them for content of course 🤣

No cake gets wasted over here!

If they don't sell over the next day we eat them, give them to friends & family, or donate them to places like our local Library or Fire Station.

If you know a local place that accepts homemade food donations or a family in need who would appreciate a lil sweet treat, tag them in the comments below so I have more places on my list to give back to ❤️

When I said I'd be dropping my fall flavor of the week on Friday, what I meant was Id be dropping it at 4am on a Saturday 😅

Today's Fall flavor is Pumpkin Cookie Butter 😍 for all my Biscoff lovers, this flavor is for you! Its pumpkin cake meets Biscoff frosting, sprinkled with pumpkin pie spice & a biscoff cookie. These flavors go so beautifully together–even if you're not a fan of pumpkin, you might love this.
