Our final weekend at The Village Bakery 🤍

From our Grand Opening to our final weekend, what a chapter this bakery has been for our family.

Tomorrow will be our last day open, and we would absolutely love to see you before we close our doors.

Stop in, say hello, grab your favorite treat, and help us close this chapter on a high. Whether you’ve been coming in since the beginning or have been meaning to stop by and just haven’t made it yet, we hope you’ll come see us this weekend. 🥐🍩🍪

We’ll be filling the cases and baking as much as we can, so come hungry and help us sell out!

More than anything, we’d just love the chance to see so many of the people who have supported us along the way before we say goodbye

We’re here today and tomorrow 7am-1pm and we hope to see you! 🤍

An important update from The Village Bakery 🤍

After a great deal of thought, Matt and I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close The Village Bakery.

Our final day open will be Sunday, September 27.

For decades, this little bakery building on Grand Avenue has been home to bakeries owned and operated by different families, each becoming a part of its story and the history of Fox Lake. We are incredibly grateful that our family had the opportunity to be a part of that history too.

We are so grateful to every person who walked through our doors, ordered a birthday cake, trusted us with a wedding, stopped in for a morning treat, shared our posts, recommended us to a friend, or simply chose to support our small business.

We are especially grateful for our team. The beautiful things that have left this bakery every day would not have been possible without the incredibly talented people behind them.

This decision has not been an easy one, but we know it is the right decision for our family and for this chapter of our lives.

We will remain open through September 27 and would love to see you over these final two weeks. We hope you’ll stop in, grab your favorites, and help us celebrate this chapter one last time.

If you have an existing order scheduled after September 27, please check your email for an important message from us regarding your order.

From our family to yours, thank you for supporting The Village Bakery and allowing our family to be a small part of this community’s history. It has meant more to us than we could ever put into words.

With love and gratitude,
Katie & Matt
