Chrissy’s is still here!!! 🦋

I’m just taking a short little break while I figure out how to balance this new season of life (being a full-time teacher, working on my Master’s in Bilingual Education, and everything else in between)

Please be patient with me while I get into a routine! I promise I’ll try not to take too long because I already miss baking and making cookie cups for y’all!!! Chrissy’s means so much to me, and I just want to make sure I’m giving myself the time to adjust without stretching myself too thin.

Did you know I’m also the owner and artist behind By Ashley Janet? 💗🎨

I started this business in 2021. It’s where I hand-draw and hand-letter all of my own designs with the goal of spreading positivity and kindness through products like stickers, bookmarks, apparel, stationery and more! Each design carries a positive or encouraging message with the hope that when someone reads it, it can uplift them, brighten their day, or remind them of something they may have needed to hear in that moment

I haven’t done a pop-up market for By Ashley Janet since starting Chrissy’s, but I’ve always wanted to bring some of my products along and unite both of my businesses in a special way. Is that something y’all would love to see at future pop-ups? 👀💗🍪

This weekend my dad took this photo of me when I wasn’t paying attention and I love that he captured me completely focused on making cookie cups. I was definitely in the ZONE!!!

What many people don’t know is that I make every single cookie cup myself. From making the dough and weighing each cookie to preparing the fillings, baking, shaping every cookie into a cup, adding the filling and then adding all the finishing touches. It’s a long process but I like to remind myself just how worth it is. I get to do something that feels therapeutic to me while also creating something with lots of love that may bring a little comfort to someone else.

This past weekend, my parents let me take over their kitchen so I could bake and prepare everything. If you didn’t know, my actual kitchen and oven are both tiny in my little casita. And when I say tiny, I mean TINY! I can only bake about 11 cookie cups at a time. Sooo being able to work at my parents’ house saved me so much time because I could bake way more at once!! Since it’s a team of one, I still took longer than I would’ve liked but I can only imagine how much longer I would’ve taken at my casita 😅

Thank you Mom and Dad for sharing your kitchen with me and helping me bring my dreams to life! I promise I’ll have my own big kitchen one day soon. 🥹🩷

Not only do I deliver… but I also DELIVER the yummiest cookie cups in the world too 😎💓

Getting to deliver really takes me back to my undergrad days when I did Amazon Flex and Favor 🤭 Except now I get to deliver my very own cookie cup creations that I make myself with lots of love!

Yesterday I got to deliver all over Seguin. Shoutout to everyone who ordered and helped me SELL OUT!!!!! THANK YOU! I appreciate y’all so much and hope you enjoyed your sweet treats 💗

I’ll be back this weekend! Y’all enjoy your Labor Day! 🇺🇸

P.S. Delivering also makes me feel like I’m living out my own little Kiki’s Delivery Service moment since it’s one of my favorite movies… I’m just missing my broom 🤭
