It’s been a little quiet over here lately. Just when I felt like I was finally getting into a rhythm with weekly menus, sharing behind the scenes in stories, and connecting with you all regularly…life reminded me to slow down for a minute. 🤍
But we’ve still been baking.👩🏽‍🍳

New things have been coming out of the kitchen lately, like fresh baguettes and cakes 🍰🧁
And let me just say…our FRESH strawberry cake? So, so good. 🍓✨

As we head into this weekend, my heart is also waiting expectantly for Shavuot. There’s something so beautiful and mesmerizing about seasons of preparation, gathering, and making room for Yahweh to move.

Our very first 100% sourdough loaves since the Feast of Unleavened bread.

It’s been a journey to today!

If you’ve spent time in the sourdough side of the internet you know obtaining a well established starter is key. Having your own 100 year old starter is like the 🐐 of sourdough.
My plan was to pass my starter for all my generations to come. 😩
Yahweh’s plan is…welp not that!

His word is very specific and straight to it… I looked for the loopholes.
“It says remove but doesn’t forbid to bring back”
“I can dry it and then technically it’s dead”
“I’ll give it to my mom and then get it back after”…..

In the end I went the narrow road. I chose my hard. Hard obedience or hard consequences….generational even.

It’s been a wait. And here we are.
Instead of passing down starter we’re passing down obedience.
