As you may know now. My Dad left this earthly world yesterday morning and is now home with Jesus. He left us way too soon and being so young we weren’t prepared for losing him. I don’t like to ask for help but I will swallow my pride and ask anyway because my mom and my family are going to need it now more than ever. A friend has set up this go fund me for my family. How Cake, Tarts and Arts came to be. My “why” Story

My name is Grace, I am a mother of 4 (Mallory, Jacob, Michael and Natalie) I am also an AU-Some Mom (mother to a child with Autism) and Wife to my Husband, Joe.

When we got the life changing diagnosis of Autism for my son Jacob, it stopped us dead in our tracks. I stopped working Full time to become a stay at home mom as we took on new challenges that this diagnosis brought us.

I needed a creative outlet, as being a stay at home mother can be a lot to take on (especially when you add Autism to the mix). I started this business on a whim when we lived in Fort Worth, TX back in 2012. My very close friend Amanda and her family encouraged me to give it a shot as I had made a few cakes for them in the past. So, I went for it and created THIS page. I got my very first order only 3 days after creating the page, from someone who just happened to come across it while searching around on Facebook. Starting this business gave me the ability to have the creative outlet I craved without taking away from my family.
