We have king cakes available now in cinnamon and strawberry cream cheese. We make one size (10"). you can order a few other flavors, apricot, Blueberry, plain cream cheese but we need 3 days notice on those flavors.

Tonight is Krampus Night, the eve of Santa Claus day in Switzerland. Legend says Santa and Schmutzli (Krampus) make their way through the towns and villages with Santa giving gifts to good children and Schmutzli punishing bad boys and girls. And you thought a lump of coal in your stocking was rough. Remember to be kind to others this season.

Thanks so much to for including our rum balls in the Christmas edition of . We are a few days behind in production due to a necessary oven repair, but hope to have rum balls, fruit cake and Christmas stollen out by late next week. Some of you may have heard rumors about a fire at Swiss Pastry Shop on Tuesday night. This is not the case. The thermostat in one of our two large ovens failed and burned up one batch of Black Forest meringue layers that were supposed to be cooling slowly in the oven overnight. The black forest in our second oven was fine. There is a light smell of burnt sugar in the bakery and we will be a bit limited in the amount we can bake till the thermostat is replaced, but those were the only setbacks. The Fire department and Health Department were on site last night and cleared us to reopen today (Wednesday). Thanks for you well wishes and prayers. We will be fine.

I'm normally at the bakery by 2am work days, so it's hard to stay in bed past 4am even when I've got nothing to do and nowhwre to go. Thankful for some good TV
