When an 11 year old birthday girl told me she wanted a “derpy tadpole princess” cake, she didn’t just describe it, she drew it. 👑🐸🐟

With her vision in hand, I brought her design to life in buttercream and cake! From the big googly eyes and fishy friends to her royal crown, this cake was truly one of a kind. Just like the girl who dreamed it up. 💙

This is why I love what I do, turning creative ideas into sweet memories. 💕

Confession time from a baker 🎂✨

When you spend your days making cakes for everyone else’s celebrations, somehow your own family’s (and even your spouse’s!) cakes always get pushed to the back burner. For years, my wife has never had a “just for her” birthday cake, not because she’s not loved, but because life and orders keep me busy. 💕
