Hi Fort Worth friends! Father’s Day cake orders are available now! These are two layer, 6 inch cakes that serve 10-12 people, and include brownie brittle, handmade chocolate bars, chocolate pretzels, sprinkles and an acrylic Father’s Day disc. They are $55 each.

Valentine’s cake orders are here!!They are 2 layers of 8 inch heart-shaped cake, with vintage style piping, sprinkles, and chocolate accents.
They will be available for pickup on Saturday 2/10 and Tuesday 2/13, so whether you celebrate over the weekend or on Valentine’s Day you can have a delicious treat! Flavors are:
Vanilla cake + raspberry filling, vanilla buttercream, and pink chocolate xoxo

I have been dying to share this freaking gorgeous cake!! Definitely made it into my top favorite cakes 🤗 They asked for s’mores, burgundy ombré, and gold. I think it delivered! Then I couldn’t stop painting gold on everything- the chocolate bars, grahams, etc- but I think that took it right over the top 🍫🔥🍰
Something about Sunday makes me want chocolate chip cookies- so how about a chocolate chip cookie cake?! This is an extra tall, 4 layer chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache and chopped up chocolate chip cookies, covered in cream cheese buttercream, milk and dark chocolate chips, and topped with more cookies! I was terrible about posting my cakes during maternity leave- whoops! This was the last cake I did before I had my baby girl, and the whimsical pink & butterflies felt so perfect! The butterflies are super thin edible paper, perfect for a little girl’s fairy party! 🦋💕🧚♀️

Okay so I’m a little late posting my gothic Halloween cake, but it’s so pretty that I think it makes up for it!! This was a totally new aesthetic for me and I loved it!! Painting the teeth of the skulls with gold luster dust give it an extra bit of zing, don’t you think? ✨ By the way, this black buttercream will not stain your teeth or taste like dye!! It’s a dark chocolate buttercream colored with BLACK cocoa powder, and just a few drops of coloring like any other cake! Thanks for the tip !!

If you’ve noticed it’s been a little quieter over here than normal, this is why! I’ve had to take a little step back from baking and slow things way down because guess what my BIGGEST food aversion has been so far? BUTTERCREAM 😭😭 It has made things tricky over here for sure, but thankfully I’ve been able to accommodate my orders and I’ve been feeling better lately!
This little girl is due at the beginning of March, which means I’ll be taking the spring season off from baking! I’m sad for all the events I’ll be missing, but it’s a necessary break for me and my family. ✨I will be temporarily closing my orders for MaddCooking from February- May 2022 for maternity leave ✨ I have lots of cake content saved up, so I’ll still be posting throughout my leave!

Smash cakes might be my new favorite thing to bake!! This tiny Elmo one was for a sweet neighbor’s little one year old, and I am in love with how it turned out! 🧡💗🧡 I think I’ll keep doing those double rope borders too- such a fun way to top a cake! Don’t forget to also order some coordinating cupcakes, so the fam doesn’t have to eat baby-smashed cake too! 🍰
What is happier than donuts on a cake?? Really, I’ll wait 🍩 I’m so happy I got to make another donut cake for another cute birthday girl who LOVES pink and purple! 💗💜 I make my own baked donuts and glaze, and this cake was classic vanilla with chocolate ganache inside. Yum!!
Today is my amazing, cookie-loving husband’s birthday!! It’s also been exactly 1 year since I made my first “professionally” successful cake! The rainbow chip one was 9/7/2020, and the chocolate chip cookie one I made for him today. The next slide is the literal first cake I made in May 2020- Oreo chocolate- that made me realize that I wanted to try this cake thing! The candy Twix one beside it was made this past June for comparison.
It’s kind of crazy to see how far I’ve come in a year, and I am overwhelmed and grateful to all of my family, friends, and clients who have believed in my work enough to help me get here! I have loved finding this new passion, and I’ll be forever grateful for the support it has been to my little family also.
