I often get asked if I still bake. Sometimes socially, sometimes it's a panicked text from a regular hoping I'm still able to bake their annual cheesecake. Yes, absolutely, I love that. Remember summer? It already feels so long ago, doesn't it? 😄😭
So fun seeing some shots of this dessert assortment for my niece's beautiful wedding! Maybe 7 flavors/combinations, including the gluten free options? Being a hot August day, I was wary of letting them sit too long so they were disappearing as they were set out. Pretty happy the icing really held up and they were devoured!

She decorated her heart out for this chocolate, chocolate, chocolate creation for us today. When your parents share a birthday, you might as well go big ☺️ the graham and sprinkle garnish was a beautiful touch. The formal party dress and table spread was also very Alice 😘♥️ she did good!

As we all need to make things stretch a little further, a helpful note on aquafaba, also known to non-vegans as chickpea water, that can be a substitute for eggs in your bake, breading, or recipe:

"Three tablespoons of aquafaba is equivalent to about one whole egg, while two tablespoons of aquafaba is equivalent to about one egg white. Keep in mind that a can of chickpeas yields about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of this liquid, so about eight to 12 tablespoons"

Weird, right? But it's pretty versatile. As eggs are scarce right now, you might get lucky on finding the alternative at the supermarket. Plus, chickpeas 😋

Twelve months of Miss Madeline! She came squealing into the world full of squish and cheeks, but is still quite a peanut compared to brother and sister. Has 6 teeth, loves to be silly, says some words when she wants to, and runs around quite well. She's still squealing, loves being the loudest voice in the room - may she never lose that passion. ☺️💕 She likes to snuggle with Dad and sing bedtime songs with Mom. She loves to follow her siblings around and drag their stuff around the house. And have naptimes with the cat. Love this little girl so much.

For these pics we made some snacking banana muffins. However we made chocolate cupcakes for her to eat for celebrating and she had no hesitation! (And a bunch of other stuff we didn't really need but had fun making.) Alice helped design her birthday cake as well, if you haven't guessed, she loves a baking show and knows all the terminalogy. I love this girl's enthusiasm.

It's hard to believe this year has wrapped up and a little sad to be done, but excited for new projects on the calendar for 2020!

Because I managed to delete my own pictures. Round 2.

11 months of Madeline this weekend! Her walking has picked up speed and depending how much you want what she has in her hands, it kind of looks like a run. She's just come home from visiting her 4th state this year, such a lucky girl and a pretty good little traveler. She is such a great playmate to Alice, not quite to freeze tag and tea parties level yet as she is eagerly waiting for, but getting there.

Alice mixed up muffins with a crumble top this month using sister's favorite food - blueberries. We added cinnamon because, well, it goes good with anything. I'm grateful to her for being such a good baby wrangler.
