22 incredible years since my first sold wedding cake, and I find myself reflecting on the remarkable journey I’ve been able to experience.
This hasn’t just been a career or a small business. It’s been a home where I’ve had the privilege of building a community. I found my chosen family and best friends along with my true village. It has also allowed me to witness and support the evolution of independent women owned bakeries, and local establishments.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of serving my local community, making pastries and breads for distinguished individuals, cakes for very special friends, as well as had my pastries and recipes published in books and magazines. I’ve been on the news, and in the newspaper countless times, made cookies with my nieces and nephews at home, baked over 2000 cakes for all occasions, and let’s not talk bread numbers! I’ve served the best restaurants in town, in my humble opinion.
I have had the honor of doing all of this in the company of my favorite people and because of that I will always be surrounded by the warmth of these cherished memories. I may be retiring from the industry but my heart is full of dear memories pushing me toward my next adventure. Thank you for every moment we created together and for being a part of my story. I will forever be thankful for being a part of yours.
So, let’s raise a glass—here’s to the laughter we’ve shared, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the lasting connections we’ve made. Cheers to all of you and to the bright futures ahead.
