On Thursday, June 11 at 12:15 pm, Michael Dulac plays the next Germanfest recital at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2120 S. Harrison St. The lll/49 Wicks organ at St. Pat's is rarely heard in a recital setting, so come and hear this unique and powerful instrument in some wonderful acoustics. The 2026 Fort Wayne Germanfest Organ Recital series continues on Tuesday, June 9 at historic Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 W. Berry St. beginning at 12:15 pm. The featured artist will be Noah Vancina, current Dean of the Fort Wayne Chapter of The AGO, playing the III/36 rank instrument, built by Cornell Zimmer. There is no charge for the concert, and everyone is welcome. Plan to attend and bring along a guest or two with you!

The Fort Wayne Germanfest organ recitals begin on Monday, June 8 from 12:15 to 12:45 pm each day this week. The first recital which takes place at First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St. on Monday, 6/8 features Colin Andrews, FPC Director of Music playing German selections on the IV/77 rank Aeolian-Skinner instrument. The concert is free. This Sunday afternoon, June 7, 2026 is our Members and 2025 Scholarship Winners recital at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd. in Fort Wayne, beginning at 2 pm. Featured organists/pianists will be Michael Dulac, Elias Kroeker, Mary Louvier, David Hendricksen, Kirsten Nus, Andrew Peters, and Noah Vancina. Come and enjoy an hour or so of beautiful music. It's unofficially "Organ Week" coming up June 7-12 in Fort Wayne! On Sunday, June 7, our chapter members/scholarship winners recital takes place at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 2 pm. Free and open to all. The annual Germanfest recitals take place on Mon. June 8 with Colin Andrews at First Presbyterian Church; Tues. June 9 with Noah Vancina at Trinity Episcopal Church; Wed. June 10 with Geoffrey North at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church; Thur. June 11 with Michael Dulac at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; and Fri. June 12 with Michael Hollman at Zion Lutheran Church. Germanfest recitals begin at 12:15 pm, are also free, and open to the public. Please join us for an exciting musical week!

The Fort Wayne Chapter AGO annual organ crawl takes place this Saturday, April 18. We will meet at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne at 8 am to carpool to Culver Military Academy Chapel to see the Moller organ of 59 ranks; and Ancilla Domini Chapel with its 52 rank Taylor and Boody instrument. Join us for our next chapter event, this Saturday, February 21 at 10:00 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Soest), 9909 Wayne Trace, Fort Wayne. Sub-Dean, Parker Maas will present a session on tonal finishing and voicing for pipe organs, on the recently completed opus 94, installed by the Lima Pipe Organ Company. Join us this Saturday, November 22 from 10:30 am to noon as we welcome Dr. Samuel Backman to our chapter. His topic will be, "Unlocking the Keys to Robust Congregational Singing." and the location will be St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. Fort Wayne. Dr. Backman has an extensive background in organ and church music, and is currently Director of Sacred Music at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
