I was given free range for a birthday bash. I was beyond excited to share my Kentucky Bourbon Cake with and Old Fashioned twist. It’s an insanely moist pound cake with a bourbon syrup. Then I topped it with a cherry whipped cream, orange caramel sauce, and a candied orange twist! 🤩

3 tier ombré swirl cake. The top and bottom tier are styrofoam, but the middle is scrumptious Darn Good Chocolate Cake (recipe by the wonderful Chef Cheryl). I am beyond proud of the way it turned out, but I can’t to make another one to refine my skills. It was definitely tougher than I thought it was going to be. It was a sad day when I had to tear it down.

Our beautiful rustic garden party table. This was our group final for my Plated Desserts class. It was such a smooth group project. I was beyond lucky to have such a wonderful group to have this collaboration with!

I had one failed attempt at Buckeyes a few years ago, and I’ve been reluctant to try again. I plucked up my courage and finally faced my fear, and wouldn’t you know it THEY WORKED! ☺️
