Things are expensive right now. Families are struggling, while our area is FULL of incredibly talented people trying to make a living.

One thing I’ve always believed is 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐒 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲. Even as a baker myself, I’ve happily encouraged other bakers and have had several people sell their breads and goodies right here from our shop. Someone else succeeding doesn’t take anything away from me.

After last week’s chaos, I had a whole week of new things planned… but we’re going back to the drawing board and shooting for next week for our new Fall/Winter menu. 🍂

✨Two years ago today, I signed a lease for what would eventually become Sips & Eats.

I had started as a home-based scratch baker with a goal in my head that I never really lost sight of. The road from there to here has definitely not been easy — and some days, it still isn’t — but through every hard season, I’ve always known this is what I was supposed to do with my life.

After the week we had, taking the entire weekend off felt SO good. I put my EarPods in, blasted my music and spent the day baking like I used to. I didn’t realize how much I missed that❤️

And I have GOODIES for you tomorrow!

🍊 Cranberry Orange Bread loaded with 3/4 cup of cranberries in every loaf

The donuts? Absolutely not. 😂 They did not work out, and I will never be attempting those again. We know our strengths around here.

Two years later, I’m still here. Still baking. Still building. Still learning. Still showing up. And still incredibly grateful that a little home baking business turned into this little shop of ours.

Here’s to a fresh week ahead for ALL of us🫶once again thank you for the community love and support this week. I/we appreciate the business we had after a crappy week.

Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for me. I think today’s a great day to announce that I will be opening my own storefront/drive through location in Fort Mohave in the coming weeks.

I’ll be taking over where the original Hut was/ formerly Pappy’s Pastrami. We are busy gutting the place, repainting, getting new floors, finalizing the permit process with the county, cleaning, etc.

If anyone is free Sunday, I’m having a painting party and could use all the help I can get. Grab a brush and come help us paint outside. I’ll have coolers with water and soda.
