The fridge actually dries out Sourdough and makes it difficult to enjoy, even if you reheat it.

It’s best to keep your sourdough in a zip top bag or other airtight container at room temp. Another option is a closed cake stand. This will keep your bread fresh and ready to use/prep for even a week or more.

It turns out the same microbes that bring so many health benefits to sourdough and help it rise, also lower the ph enough to keep mold away, even at room temp.
