✨Berry Chantilly - vanilla cake, Chantilly cream, berry compote, buttercream and fresh fruit garnish
✨Chocolate Salted Caramel - chocolate cake, salted caramel buttercream and a salted caramel drizzle with sea salt garnish
✨Oreo Chocolate - chocolate cake, Oreo buttercream with Oreo crumbles and cookie garnish

Salida Wedding spread, Part one.

Humbled & honored to make all the desserts for a dear friend’s wedding a few weeks ago in Salida. This event took the most prep and coordination to date.

Timeline of events:
• Tues - shop for all ingredients
• Wed - bake all vanilla sheet cake layers. Make buttercream frosting & Chantilly frosting base, prep Oreo crumbs & fruit compote. Start staging what I’ll need to take with me for the weekend.
• Thurs - bake all chocolate sheet cake layers. Make salted caramel & remaining buttercream frosting. Start packing.
• Fri morning - prep chocolate chip cookie & snickerdoodle dough. Pack remaining items. Pack coolers, pack car and drive the 3.5 hrs to Salida
•Sat - WEDDING DAY! Baking cookies and cake cup assembly began at 10:30a until about 2:45p. Ran back to the hotel to shower, get wedding ready and head back to the venue for a 4pm wedding.
Then at about 7pm, desserts were laid out for all to enjoy.

Next post will have closeups and descriptions of the desserts.
