Y'all, we have to tell you about Jasmine.

Lately, it feels like it's been one thing after another. Running a small business is no joke, and we've been struggling to keep all the pieces moving. 😅 This weekend, we weren't even sure how we were going to cover one of our markets.

And then, just like that, Jasmine happened. 💚

Who would've thought that stopping by to buy some cookies from me earlier this week would end with her getting put to work a few days later?! 🤣🤣

I'm not kidding when I say she was God-sent. 🥹

During our conversation, she casually mentioned that if we ever needed help, she'd be happy to jump in. Well, fast-forward a few days, and there she was, smiling away and representing Rise & Bloom in Downtown Forney! 😂

Jasmine, thank you. Thank you for stepping up without hesitation, for loving our bread, and for being willing to lend a hand when we truly needed one. You may have come for the cookies, but you ended up becoming part of the Rise & Bloom family. 💚

And while we're here, we want to take a moment to thank every single person who has been part of our team, past or present, along with the friends and community who continue to show up for us.

Every early morning, every long market day, every helping hand, and every little act of kindness means more than you know.

Building a small business isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's exhausting, overwhelming, and held together by caffeine, sourdough starter, a whole lot of prayer, and a little bit of chaos. 🤣

But then moments like this happen, and we're reminded why we keep going.

The Grumpy Baker has officially clocked OUT. 😂✌️

After months of mixing, shaping, baking, packing, loading, unloading, market-ing, and probably saying a few choice words to some sourdough along the way… we’re taking a much-needed little break this week. ❤️

No alarms.
No ovens.
No markets.
No “is the dough ready yet?”
Just rest, family time, snacks, and Brodey attempting to lower his grumpy levels. 😂

We are incredibly grateful for how busy you all have kept us and for the way you continue to show up for our little bakery. We wouldn’t need a vacation if y’all didn’t keep buying all this bread. 🤣 And that is a VERY good problem to have.

🌿 We’ll be back the weekend of September 26th!
Same bread. Same Grumpy Baker. Possibly slightly more rested. No promises on the attitude. 😂

This past weekend, we got to spend some time with a few members of our amazing team! Unfortunately, Linde, Kamarion, and Connie couldn’t make it, but we’ll get everyone together next time! 🥰

We say it all the time, but we truly mean it... we are so incredibly grateful for our team. None of the growth we’ve experienced this year would have been possible without such a hardworking and wonderful crew behind us. ❤️

And the timing couldn’t have been more perfect because Denise is celebrating ONE WHOLE YEAR with Rise & Bloom! 🎉 How has an entire year already flown by?! We are so thankful for her, everything she does, and the joy she brings to our bread family.

We have THE best team ever. We couldn’t do this without you all! 🍞🌸 And we cannot wait to see what next season has in store for us!

Oatmeal Cream Pies, but make them Rise & Bloom. 🤎✨

Soft, chewy oatmeal cookies + a thick, dreamy layer of sweet cream in the middle = a very convincing reason to eat dessert before dinner. 😂

They’re nostalgic, a little messy, ridiculously good, and basically a grown-up version of the lunchbox favorite we all know and love.

Fair warning: buying one and saying “I’ll save half for later” is an adorable little lie. 🤭

We have officially reached a level of loyalty we were not emotionally prepared for. 😂🍞💅

She didn’t get bread-inspired nails.

Brodey has spent time perfecting sourdough, only to discover his true calling:

Imagine being a retired Navy Chief, becoming a sourdough baker, learning the nickname Grumpy Baker… and then one day finding out someone is wearing your face on their fingernail. 💀

They captured the man at approximately 12 millimeters tall. 😂

We seriously cannot get over these nails. The fact that someone loves Rise & Bloom enough to walk around with tiny loaves AND the Grumpy Baker on her fingertips absolutely made our day. 🥹❤️

Meanwhile, the Grumpy Baker would like everyone to know:

We love our team AND pizza… so obviously we had to combine the two. 🍕🙌

Packing day is a whole lot better when there’s pizza involved! 😂 Between the loaves, labels, bags, boxes, and organized chaos, this crew works HARD to help keep Rise & Bloom running.

We are so incredibly grateful for our Rise & Bloom crew and all the hands that help us get through these crazy bake and packing days. 💚🌾

Because apparently you can’t pack hundreds of loaves on an empty stomach. 😉🍕🥖

Good bread. Good pizza. Even better people. 🫶
