We’ve got babies!!

28 days I have waited for this moment! Second guessing letting her sit on her eggs instead of incubating them but we finally have 2 cute little fuzzy ducklings! 3 more to hatch! 🤞🏼

Not only that but we have puppies on the ground! 7 puppies out of our spook and dougie pups!

Haven’t posted in awhile so let’s start out with some sourdough starter for sale!!

I’ve got an abundance again and looking to give it to a new home. My starter is very mature! May take a couple feedings to get it fully active but I’m ready to share the weath again!

Jar has 100 grams(roughly half cup). I use a 1-1-1 ratios when feeding.
1 part start
1 part water
1 part flour

So your starter will be up to 300 grams by its first feeding!!

For people who are asking, YES I still making sourdough stuff! I took a little time off for Easter and our daughter’s birthday(and a few extra weeks😬) but I’m back full swing and the starter is alive a well!

I had 2 starters in the fridge and to say they were hungry is and understatement! One feeding and the not only doubled in size but tripled! With that’s said I’m DROWNING in starter and now is the time to start rationing it to people who want to start their own sourdough experience! 

If you want to buy starter - bring your own jar and well fill you up!

For the last 3 calving seasons I have been wanting one of our girls to have twins. I get called crazy and get told all the issues you can have especially if they are heifer/bull pair. Well yesterday our big red girl, Jackie, decided it was a good time to give us the surprise I’ve been waiting for!

TWIN BULL CALVES!

Of course Driston and I were gone, 4 hours away, 😅 when we got the call asking how many calves we had and after say 2 were told “well now you have 4” I freaked out! Jackie seems to be producing enough milk for now and both boys are up walking around!

I of course only have one name picked so we are in need of another J name!

Trying new things in the kitchen has always been fun for me!

With having a food allergy and sensitivity in our house we have to be very cautious what we make and eat so I have been trying my hand at making cakes!

May not be pretty yet, or ever but i do know one thing, they taste pretty dang good! And I know for a fact I don’t have to question if they are safe or not!
