As we near the holidays, where I have had the opportunity to meet so many of you for the first time over the years, I thought I’d take this opportunity to do an update on the status of the bakery. As I mentioned several months ago, we were in the process of selling our home. We closed on Halloween, and have moved away from Flower Mound to build a home in Howe (by Sherman). As we familiarized ourselves with the area, I also had to decide whether to reopen later, or find a commercial space. I have decided that neither option was going to fit my family’s new needs and situation so I will not reopen. It has been an amazing opportunity to grow and meet so many new people here and I will miss seeing all of you! Thank you for all your support and letting me share in your family’s celebrations over the years.

I’ve been putting off making an official announcement, but I suppose it is time. My family is in the process of getting our home ready to put on the market to sell. As of now, I am unable to take further orders. I tried, but it was too hard to stay open during the deep cleaning/painting/decluttering we need to do.

I have loved meeting every single one of you who trusted me with your cakes and cookies. I will update my page as I know more about what my future and the bakery’s will look like. We will be building a home and shop, but as of now the land isn’t even cleared and has no utilities. It is going to be a while before I have access to a full kitchen. If you need recommendations for other bakers, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you again for helping me grow this little hobby into a full time business. It has blessed our family more than you’ll know.

I did 2 cakes for a 40th birthday celebration last weekend. One more detailed for the birthday guy, and then a larger, more simple cake for extra servings for the guests. The little one was German chocolate with traditional coconut/nut filling inside, and covered with buttercream that had a hint of salted caramel added.
