Looks like we’re a camping fam now 🏕️
we had such a special weekend soaking up quality time, making memories, getting off the grid, shaking things up from the daily routine & just being together. it was just what we needed to recharge & remind ourselves what life is all about. the kids literally cried when I told them we were going camping & then cried when it was time to leave, I call that a win. 💪

While there, we celebrated the life of our sweet Frances, ironically alongside the St. Francois river. it’s been 4 years since we held her in our arms, I’m not quite sure I’ll ever understand why she’s not here with us but God knows why, and that’s my comfort.

Frannys life has brought our family closer together, has helped shape me into a better mother & has given us hope even through the hard times. On our hike along the river, we found a heart shaped rock, then another & another. We found so many that the kids said it was a little sign that Frances was with us, and I agree. 🧡

God has a way of carrying you through life. He didn’t promise a perfect one but He did promise that He would be there, right by your side, giving you moments like this to fill you up with joy. 🙌
