Please note Kara's Cake's is Home Based and not a Store. DEPOSIT: Initial deposit reserves event date and is non refundable. Remaining balance must be paid in
full a month before event date for Wedding Cakes. Celebration Cakes must be paid in full a week before
pick up or delivery date. After a Friendly reminder is sent, Late or no payment is subject to cancellation. Late payments may result in
substitutions or modifications to the original order as well as an additional
charge. CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations made within one month of collection date will result in any monies
paid not being refunded due to most items being purchased before that time. DESIGN: Cake design is a creative and organic process. Kara's Cake's will do our very best to replicate
and create your selected design as closely as possible. However, at times, the cake designer must make
adjustments to the design in the interest of structure stability or aesthetics, and will do so, without
changing the design immensely. Design changes to the order may be made until 2 week prior to event
and will be charged accordingly. Change requests after this time cannot be guaranteed and may be
subject to additional charges. PICKUP/DELIVERY: Please be sure to schedule your pickup time accurately. If you feel that you are
going to be later than planned, please contact us as soon as possible. In the event that you choose a
time outside of your original pickup window, the new pickup time can and will be arranged at Kara's
Cake's convenience. Failure to pick up an order the same day or to contact will result in your order being
sold or raffled off to another customer. Please note that a $10.00 late fee will be assessed if you attempt
to pick up your cake outside of our scheduled pickup times without correct communication. Requesting to
pick your cake up at any other location than what is specified in the terms and conditions will be
considered delivery, and will be subject to appropriate delivery fees. If you or your representative
chooses to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the
cake once it has left our possession. Kara's Cake's is not liable for damage due to client negligence or
improper handling once the product has been picked up or delivered. If your product is damaged after it
has been in your possession, we will assess the damages and offer to fix the cake for you. If we come to
you to fix the cake, mileage fees will be applied. Additional fees may also be applied, depending on the
severity of the damage to the cake. ALLERGIES: Kara's Cake's is not a nut-free bakery. Clients are responsible for notifying of any other
dietary restrictions prior to placing an order. Our cakes are made in an environment where soy, egg, gluten, dairy, nuts and other allergens, may be
present. When specified by the client, Kara's Cake's takes all due care to keep allergy prone ingredients
out of our desserts and kitchen area. We take no responsibility for allergies or complications due to
consuming our products. You agree to notify your guests of this risk. REFUNDS: All sales are final. If for some reason you are dissatisfied with the product, notice must be
given within the 24 hour period after your product has been picked up or delivered in order for us to offer
any compensation. Kara's Cake's will offer a discount on a future order, if at least 3/4 of the product is
available and returned to us. By paying the non refundable deposit you are accepting and agreeing to the terms and conditions set
forth in this agreement.
