I have an announcement to make, but I hope no one throws rotten tomatoes after! 🫣

First: THANK YOU to everyone who has challenged and grown my baking skills, and ordered since I started baking here in Flatonia! I have enjoyed every single order! And not many were duplicates…. I got to create such a fun variety of themes and designs on cakes and cookies and beyond!

Second: I have to let everyone know that I have gone back to my nursing roots, and have accepted the RN position at Smithville High School. I am excited for the next chapter! But in order to make it work with my job, kids extracurriculars, and all the other facets of busy life…. I have decided to stop taking custom orders for now.

I will, of course, keep all orders that are already on the books!

And going forward, I plan to do set batches of cookies only for holidays. (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, Easter, and some graduations.)

Again thank you so much for the community support for the last two years! Starting back in 2020 I had no idea my hobby would grow into something so fun and special!

My kiddos are both school age now, and we are ready for the next step- mom back to work. Please keep an eye out for holiday cookie announcements!

Thank y’all so much for all the love on my recent posts! I wouldn’t be here without the encouragement and support of all my favorite people.

I wanted to make special note of a couple things!

1) HUGE shout out to my sister in law and best assistant EVER. I posted the wedding and grooms cakes from this past weekend… but she came to my rescue by baking and icing the 4 additional sheet cakes, to make enough servings for a large celebration. Brooke Mills you are the real MVP!!

2) I will go back and post Pinspiration in the comments for each order I’ve made that the ideas came from another baker/designer. I want to give credit where credit is due! Just haven’t had time to track them all back down yet.

3) Keep an eye out for a Christmas order post soon! I’ll be doing a set number of dozens (decorated sugar cookies) and that’ll be that. I am looking forward to time off with my babies and our family over Christmas break! If you have a separate order for December already lined up, of course that still stands.
