Fishers | Leah & Nick Rekis from Bushel and Peck Bakery | “I've been doing this for six months. My Grandma is my inspiration. She used to tell me, ‘I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.’ It's very sweet to me. She taught me how to bake, how to can food, how to garden, how to cook. So, I just draw a lot of inspiration from her. She's my best friend. We used to have Hallmark movie nights, and so that really inspired this, along with I have several food intolerances, so clean ingredients is really important to me. This is my first ever market, which is really exciting. And as you can tell, it went really well…we sold out!” [I met Leah and Nick at the Noblesville Main Street Farmers Market...and they were kind enough to give me one of their 6-Star Michelin-rated (in my book) Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls...thank you so much!!!]

We’ve been quite quiet working on some fun summer projects, but we’re back with a spring drop full of bright blueberry baking and a few cozy classics.

Pickup: 4–6pm at the College Park Portico

• Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough (full + mini)
• Cinnamon Rolls
• Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
• Lemon Blueberry Scones 🫐
• Blueberry Crumble Cookies 🫐

The lemon blueberry scones are the standout for me this week. Bright, lightly sweet, and perfectly springy without being too heavy.

Chocolate chip cookies are going fast this drop, and a few items won’t be back for a while.

Hi! I’m Leah Rekis, owner of Bushel and Peck Bakery. The name comes from a phrase my grandma always told me: “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” That same love and care is what I want every treat from this bakery to carry.

Baking has always been my way of taking care of people, and now I get to do it for you. Here, you’ll find fresh baked goods made with warmth, a little imperfection, and a lot of love, my way of giving you a hug in every bite. 💛
