This is a long one folks 💜 I don't talk about my husband Matt enough, and he's a huge part of not only my life but he is a huge reason Serenity Sourdough is even an existing career for me 💜
Matt and I have been friends for almost 16 years, dating for 9, married for 8. Through every single storm he has been our rock.
When we needed to work switch shifts to support the kids and watch them since we couldn't afford daycare, he did so without complaint. Most of our married lives we've been two ships passing in the night, one off to work and the other starting their parenting shift for the day and vice versa.
When I became disabled he drove me to and from every appointment, made sure the kids were cared for, fed and did all of it while working.
When I asked him if I should try and sell sourdough in between seizures he said absolutely just don't overwork yourself.
As our business grew he stepped up even more than I expected him to, helping with dough, markets and more.
Today he works 70 hours a week between the farm and retail, and he STILL helps me when he can with the business.
He insists on doing markets so I can take care of my body and sleep (since I'm often baking until 4 or 5am most market days). He doesn't do those markets with an ounce or anger, or resentment. It brings him joy meeting all the customers, and knowing his wife is getting the rest her disabilities demand.
He's an amazing man and this is just a little snapshot of why. I'm incredibly grateful to have him. Thanks for treating him well at markets y'all and for supporting our whole family with every purchase 💜 y'all rock too 💜
