We had our final walk through this evening.
After days of deep cleaning that was a whole family affair (couldn’t have done this without allllll my helpers!) and a crowd that showed up to buy ALL of our inventory, we have officially closed this chapter of The Braided Bakery at 126 E Main Street in Festus Missouri ❤️

Your love and support these past 4 years has blown me away.
I’m beyond humbled that so many people (thousands of you started as complete strangers) believed in me when we decided to turn this dream into a reality.

The most surprising part of this journey was how many of those strangers became actual friends to me and my family, stepped up, filled the gaps and were there when we needed them.
I am so thankful for those friendships, they will always hold a special place in my heart ♥️

We are really looking forward to this next chapter.
James is already enjoying his new job in corporate maintenance and I’m planning on substitute teacher at the kids school this Fall 📚

A special thank you to Erin Mercer, she has been the most amazing landlord and we were blessed to be her tenants for so long!

We have a new tenant in place (and we are very excited for them!) but they do not need our kitchen equipment or accessories.
Which means we are having a huge in store sale!
Come in Sunday between 2-5pm and shop our inventory!
We will have equipment, a square system, small kitchen appliances, extra paper products, dining room furniture, cutlery, dishes, decorations and so much more!
We are selling during those hours only and it will need to be taken home that day, so please come prepared!

Well we opened (for the last time) with a BANG!
That lobby was FULL for a solid 90mins and it only emptied when we ran out of everything but cookies!!
We still have some chocolate chip and Cookies and Cream cookies but that is it!

Which means our last day will actually be THURSDAY the 16th!!
We will be open 10am-5pm and I am prepared to make a TON of Challah.

But I want the time and freedom during our last week to have fun and make a variety of items that I’ve offered these past 4 years.

We’re looking for someone to lease our storefront. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to open a bakery, café, deli, or another small business.

Please note: The bakery business itself is not for sale. We will be keeping our business name, recipes, branding, and all intellectual property. However, we are interested in selling the bakery’s equipment, furniture, fixtures, and other business assets separately to the new tenant, making it easier to get up and running.
