I know I’ve been a little MIA lately — here’s why 💛

The first part of the new year has been a lot. I’ve been dealing with an injury, some sickness, personal things behind the scenes, and now a Crohn’s flare on top of it. When it rains, it pours a little.

Living with Crohn’s means that during flares my joints.. especially my wrists can become really painful. And for someone who kneads dough for a living, that’s been hard.

At this point, my body is clearly telling me to sit down and rest. As much as I love being in the kitchen and baking for you all, I need to take a pause so I can properly heal.

Sweet & Sourdough will be temporarily closed while I recover. Thank you for always supporting this little dream of mine and for giving me grace when I need it most. I can’t wait to be back baking for you soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi friends 🤍
I had already taken this week off from baking because I wasn’t feeling well and was planning to return next week, but I unfortunately also cut my finger very badly today while doing dishes. To make sure everything stays safe and up to standard, I won’t be able to bake safely until it heals properly.

I’ll be out of the bakery until further notice. Thank you so much for your patience, grace, and continued support

This year’s festive flavor is Cranberry Orange Sourdough — she’s bright, cozy, citrusy, and honestly tastes like Christmas morning hugged a loaf of bread. 🍊❤️
