Anyone else feel like life lately has just been.... heavy? Even if absolutely nothing is wrong in your life, that life around you is heavy and everyone is on a weird mix of auto pilot and anxiety? Money is tight. Everything is expensive. As one of my dear friends would say, "Life be lifin'".

While we can't make free cakes for everyone (though we all know I would try) , I would like to offer a service....

If you, or someone you know has a birthday coming up, and funds are just too thin, shoot us a message. One message, and just say "Hey Neighbor". We will arrange for pickup of a "birthday in a box". No, it's not a lot. But it's enough to make a small cake for that loved one who might not get one. No questions asked, no money needed. Sometimes we skip the little things, excusing them for luxuries, not realizing that they truly are, the big things.

My nephew, who doesn't eat cake, calls and says, "Aunt Brandy can you make my wedding cake?" My first response was, "kid, you don't even eat cake!" He quickly replied, "I told Maddie that's the only one I will eat".

Next response as his Aunt?

Get the rental. Grab my kid (also Ring Bearer), your niece and bonus niece, drive 1200 miles, 24 hours straight. Mess up the air bnb kitchen.

Gen, Kauri, Jax and Peyton all celebrated Birthdays, and Dan celebrated his official Military retirement!

Sharing this again, I've had several requests for the days I am closed. The Cakery will be closed from May 21 to June 3, as I am traveling to Texas, where I will be making a very special wedding cake.

I love you all, and want to do your cakes, but the first little boy I ever loved is about to marry his best friend, and I can't miss it. ❤️
