LegenDAIRY?
I know the name LegenDairy probably has a bit of you stumped, so let me start from the beginning!
I’m Ariana, the creator behind the baked goods and name of LegenDairy Bakes. I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Academy of Culinary Arts in the swell little town of Punxsutawney, PA, and grew up not far away in the even smaller town of Houtzdale, PA.
Growing up I was involved in my local 4-H club, thanks to my grandparents who ran it. You see, they were well known in the community because of their agricultural background. When my father was little, my grandparents packed up the family and moved them to the area to open up a dairy farm and milk store. After years of running the shop, they eventually had to close it down.
After culinary school, I knew I wanted to share my new skills with the world. When I still lived at home I thought about opening a small bakery out of my grandparents’ old store and calling it “The Milkhouse”, as many from the area referred to it. However, I moved to Fayetteville, NC shortly after and that dream had to be put to rest. I soon got settled in my new city and started creating baked goods for my friends and was able to market them to the area as well and decided it was finally time to officially start looking into making it a business, but that meant I needed a business name.
