I’ve been working on our branding as part of the renovations.
Rooted has always been the perfect word for what I aim for in our little bakery.
Not flashy or complicated. Not rushed or greedy.
We aim for humble and giving; tasty and nutritious; honest and real.
Every ingredient and step in our process is a choice rooted in what research and human history says makes healthy bread that is nutrient rich and digestible.
It’s rooted in what humans say is delicious and what our community can thrive on.
Local ingredients aren’t the choice you make when profit is your number one goal but our goal is to succeed and grow alongside our community of farmers and producers and to use food at its peak.
Anyone else ever notice how amazing the local strawberries taste or how spicy jalapeños in late summer really are?
It’s real food reacting to our world and we love capturing that in our breads and bakes.
We love pointing to the farmer who grew the blueberries while a customer bites into the bagel or the cheese artisan who made the whey as someone smells the sweet honey oat loaf.
At the end of the day I choose to plant my roots here and be connected to my earth and my fellow humans here.
This little bakery is nothing more than my attempt at giving back to the community I love in a way that makes me so grateful to be Rooted.
