Today we celebrate FREEDOM.
Sweet Lu’s Treats honors Juneteenth, the day when the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free—two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As a Black-owned woman business rooted in strength, resilience, and creativity, I take today to not only celebrate our freedom, but to remember our ancestors, their sacrifices, and the legacy they left behind. Their strength runs through me—and through every cake, cookie, and sweet treat I make.

This day is a reminder that we are our ancestors’ wildest dreams. Let us continue to rise, build, and support one another in love, pride, and excellence.
