Thirteen more pints of salsa. This time Roasted Tomato, Black Bean, and Corn with a hint of lime. I finally found the bottom of my.box of tomatoes. Sixteen pounds of ground beef will be canned before I go to bed tonight. Stocking up for winter and inflation!

Fifteen jars of salsa. We'll eat it all. Salsa is our #1 condiment.

My first attempt at homemade Chiles Rellenos. It's not difficult but has a lot of steps, and it takes time management to be successful. There are several options for filling. I had Muenster cheese on hand so I used that. I consider this attempt a success. Very delicious, glad we have leftovers!

Yesterday my oldest son brought his family to our new place in Goldsboro. We had a great meal and a wonderful visit. My son and daughter-in-law hung a few pictures for us. My daughter-in-law and granddaughter had just returned from a trip to Finland. They visited with many relatives and did some sightseeing. Tney brought some gifts for Grandma! I made a great dessert from an old recipe that turned out very well. Before they left we renewed our old tradition of marking the grandchildren's height on an entry to the kitchen. Sharing a meal with family is part of building relationships and creating memories. Cooking for people is my love language!
