Location: The Kids Place Childcare, 449 Farmington Falls Rd, Farmington, ME 04938
Position: Full-Time Infant Teacher (Ages 6 weeks to 12 months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM (Consistent day shift, no nights or weekends!)
Pay Range: Hourly rate is based on experience (Plus a guaranteed $240 monthly bonus!)
About Us:
At The Kids Place Childcare, we put the care in childcare! We are a fully licensed childcare facility providing a warm, structured, and nurturing learning environment for our families in Franklin County. Our early childhood program emphasizes a play-based curriculum, encouraging our youngest children to grow, explore, and thrive through sensory play and engaging interactions.
The Role:
We are seeking an energetic, nurturing, and reliable Full-Time Infant Teacher to care for our smallest babies (ages 6 weeks to 12 months). Working within our close-knit center, you will maintain a safe, clean, and joyful environment while providing the foundational care and support our babies need.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and responsive care for infants, including feeding, changing, and tracking daily developmental milestones.
Lead simple, creative, play-based activities that support motor skills, early language, and sensory discovery.
Maintain clean, compliant, and strictly supervised sleep and play environments following all Maine DHHS safe-sleep guidelines.
Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with co-teachers and families during daily face-to-face drop-off and pick-up transitions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-Age & Education: Must be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
-Background Clearance: Ability to get and successfully pass the required Maine DHHS fingerprinting background check.
-Certifications: Current certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hiring—we will help you get certified!).
-Traits: Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, flexibility, ability to multitask, and a deep love for early childhood development.
