Limpa Lovers! Don’t forget that we’re changing the Limpa schedule for the summer months. It will now be made on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. That means THIS Wednesday is the first Limpa day in June! It will be available after 12pm, and we’re open until 6! Pass it on to those who love Swedish Limpa bread!

Swedish Limpa Bread - Summer Schedule Change!! Due to the baking schedule and the demand on our staff to keep up with two farmers markets this year, we will be moving production of this anise-spiced, sweet rye bread to the first and third WEDNESDAYS from June through October. The first Limpa Wednesday will be June 3rd. Since we’re making it on Wednesday, it will also be eligible for the Young at Heart discount if you qualify.

You can reserve yours ahead of time, or stop in. Pre-orders must be received by close of business on Sunday to be guaranteed for Wednesday. Any Limpa bread that isn’t sold is always sliced and frozen for purchase out of the freezer.

Product development is one of my favorite aspects of bakery ownership. Especially the part where I get to try the first bite of something. I stopped early and picked up some amazing strawberries 🍓 from R&B Miller Farms at the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market. They are already back at the bakery being washed and chopped for inclusion in one of our most popular desserts. Any guesses??

I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait to get some fresh strawberries at the farmers market this week! We will be there too, with bread, those delicious pretzels, and other great treats.
If we’re lucky enough to snag some fresh strawberries, we have a few ideas on how to use them. Oh, and…we’re hunting for zucchini, because we’ve already had so many requests for our zucchini bread! Market weekend, here we come!

This Thursday is the Senior Prom for Farmington High School, and several members of our team are attending, including my oldest daughter. As such, we have a staffing situation and I am taking this opportunity to spend time with my girl, helping with hair and makeup, and taking 10,000 pictures.
